1. Who we are

Footballshirtsjack ("we", "us") operates Football Lad. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. Contact: Footballshirtsjack@outlook.com.

2. What we collect and why

  • Account data (email, display name, optional avatar) — to create and operate your account. Legal basis: contract performance.
  • Game activity (scores, sessions, completed games) — to run the leaderboard, enforce daily limits, and improve the Service. Legal basis: contract performance and legitimate interests.
  • Support messages you send us — to respond to you. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
  • Technical data (IP, device, browser, page views) — for security, fraud prevention, and product analytics. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
  • Subscription status (Paddle subscription ID, billing period, status) — to grant Pro access. Legal basis: contract performance.

Payment card details are handled by Paddle (our Merchant of Record) and are not stored by us.

3. Cookies

We use essential cookies (session, auth) to make the Service work. We do not use advertising cookies.

4. Who we share data with

  • Service providers / subprocessors: hosting, database, error reporting, customer support tooling.
  • Paddle.com as Merchant of Record: handles checkout, payments, subscription management, tax compliance, and invoicing.
  • Professional advisers: legal and accounting, where needed.
  • Authorities: where required by law.

5. International transfers

Some of our service providers are based outside the UK / EEA. Where personal data is transferred, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses and adequacy decisions.

6. Retention

We keep account and game data while your account is active. If you delete your account or are inactive for an extended period we delete or anonymise your personal data, unless we are legally required to retain it (e.g. tax records via Paddle).

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, and object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent where applicable. You can also lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) or your local data protection authority. We respond to requests within one month.

8. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures (encryption in transit, access controls, RLS-protected databases). No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong, unique password.

9. Children

The Service is not intended for children under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this notice. We will indicate the "Last updated" date at the top.
